Guest couples are always welcome to join in on our events. We understand, however, that some couples may feel a bit apprehensive about attending their first CSFBA activity, whether it be a potluck dinner or other more public event. These feelings are certainly normal. After all, you may be going to a stranger's home, or at least going out somewhere with a bunch of people you don't know. But rest assured that we will make every effort to make your first visit comfortable and enjoyable. We're confident that afterward you'll be glad you came!

When you arrive at the event, you'll be greeted by the host or other member couples, who may give each of you a nametag. (At most of our events, members and guests alike all wear nametags identifying themselves and their partner.) Our Social Couple, or someone filling in for them if they can't make it, will be on the lookout for you and will introduce you to other members and other visitors who may be attending. Members of the Operating Committee will also seek you out to say hello. Soon you'll be feeling much more at ease!

At some point during most events, the Chair Couple and/or other members of the Operating Committee will have a few brief announcements about upcoming events and possibly some "club business." Guest couples will also be introduced and formally welcomed at this time.

Before you know it, the event will be over and you will find that you have met some wonderful new friends! And we think you'll be looking forward to your next Club event!
